DIY products around the house

DIY backsplash kit from Lowes

Finished.  Hubby installed.  Kit includes all you need.  Be careful to mix grout to right consistancy

Reframe an old mirror with kit from Home Depot.  Frame is easy to cut to fit and has corner pieces to hide cuts.  The frame is adhered to mirror with a strong adhesive tape.  All pieces come in kit, including new flat hangers for mirror.  However after frame is installed the hangers showed.  I just repainted wall and covered hangers with paint.  Home Depot did give us a store credit to compensate for the inconvenience and that's what I bought paint with.

Finished mirror.  Changed flowers and moved painting as adviced by a friend to a more eye level height.

Son's room from preteen age~ needed updated.

Cleaned the room out.  And painted everything white...per son's request.

Closet had no door.  Did have camo netting up at one time to go with previous deco.

Teen son's Finished Room.  New Bed, comforter set, drapes and some accessories. Framed date he was born and date he graduates and his name that he painted to coordinate with colors in room

New closet door.  Installed by hubby.  This clock I refabbed.  (See previous post)

Our catch all laundrey room with my kids' art.  I have 3 kids so I collected somethings from each.  This is also like a mud room before entering our kitchen from rear entrance of house.

Hot water heater, furnace and pump are visible to everyone that enters house this way.

There is that ugly pump!  These shelves use to hold paint and household misc.  I got rid of some paint and stored some on bottom but moved most into cabinet above dryer and made room for pantry.

This is an after photo.  I framed the kids' artwork and put up same shelves covered in white and black contact paper and added black foldable storage bins from Walmart.

I also added a very nice broom/mop organizer and divider screen that I got from Amazon.

This is the finished pantry area.  I added a retractable clothesline (top left of pic) and covered shelves in black and white contact paper.  One shelf is covered because it opens to kitchen and we keep cereal in there for quick access.  I did take down the three pieces of art here and saved elsewhere cause it looked a little to busy.
